Situated only 30mins away, The Dufftown Golf Course is set amongst the most amazing scenery in Speyside, the heart of the malt whisky country. At 5308 yards and 67par, this short course is not to be underestimated; two of its holes (7th and 10th) feature in "Britain’s 100 Extraordinary Golf Holes".
Located a little over an hour away, on the banks of the 'Royal river', The River Dee, this charming par 69, 18 hole golf course offers a challenge to golfers of any standard.
The nearest golf club (20mins drive) kills two birds with one stone as the course is positioned on the former grounds and around Huntly Castle, on the bonnie banks of the River Deveron. The picturesque village of Insch is only a 40-minute drive from Aberdeen up the A96 and has a station on the main Aberdeen-Inverness rail line. The course at present measures 5,371 yards with a par of 69 (SSS 67) and has matured to provide a very good test for all classes of golfers.
Oldmeldrum is an historic golf club: the game has been played here for over 125 years. However, its outlook is modern and, here, you will find all the facilities you would expect of a thriving, 21st century golfing venue. A par 70 course, Oldmeldrum Golf Club currently is just over 6,100 yards in length. It’s fairways, greens, areas of rough and water hazards are a challenge for every level of golfer.
